No,I just got sidetracked & this is a thread about dog food. I did try to find info about Frankie......I'm not yet used to how to navigate this site. I think it's beyond wonderful that you've opened your heart & home to so many dogs. And I love the pic's I've seen so far.

I'd been feeding my dogs VF turkey,all of a sudden they didn't like it.....have to admit I'd never noticed any dog not liking food. traded for a bag of VF chicken,same thing. So just switched to Instinct duck & turkey (read somewhere duck would be good for skin allergies). Both dogs love this...

When anyone asks me what kind of dog Rags is I just say he's a BIG dog. Who the heck knows right? He's obviously got some shepherd in him,but he weighs about 120# now! I do refer to my friends Labradoodle's as such. My take on all this: the dogs could care less,just say they are "loved dogs".

I'm no expert but since you mentioned being nervous I'd go with the first gut instinct. You have no experience with these dogs,thus I'm thinking you'd have a hard time being the leader. You might suggest the owners locate a good rescue group. This breed isn't for everyone.
