Goldens don't need that much grooming. They need to be brushed, of course, but not much more so than many other breeds. We get his paws trimmed once in a while, but other than that, he's fairly easy to keep groomed. Of course, Luke's only seven months old, so maybe it will be more difficult...

A light blanket draped over the top of his crate stopped Luke from whining the first week. I think it made him feel more safe and cozy. :)

We give raw marrow bones from the butcher. Teeth are spotless. We do stay away from smaller bones, though, and NEVER cook them.

Our little guy was like that. (I had numerous posts about it, lol) We ended up switching his food after nothing else was working, and ended up on California Natural Chicken and Rice. His gas is GONE. I don't know what was in his old food that was causing it, since it was also chicken-based...

Luke had a few days similar to that following a thunderstorm. He got a bit better day by day, and was back to his normal self in the backyard within a week or so. Hope Buddy follows the same pattern. :)

My pup started California Natural a couple of months ago after we discovered some food sensitivities, and he's doing wonderfully! Plus, his BM's have decreased by about 50%, if you're worried about that. It really is a great food! Good Luck...:)

A squeaky rubber chicken from Petsmart. Luke's ADDICTED to that thing. Luckily, he broke the squeaker a couple of weeks back. I'll tell you, for 2.99, that thing has lasted forever with all the abuse it gets, lol.
