    Photos of Bhutias!

What is a Bhutia? Hi Barb and RD, Thanks for your messages - Bhutias are an Indian/Tibetan breed. I'm not sure if they're official but I do believe they are categorised as molosser dogs. I think they're closely related to the Tibetan Mastiff and Himalayan Sheep Dog. I'm copying and...

    Photos of Bhutias!

Hello again, Long time since I've visited. Toosh's pups are now 4 months old and almost as big as the adult dogs. For people who don't know me I have 16 Bhutias out of which three are 4 months old and the rest are about seven years old. I've posted more photos on my flickr site -...

    Puppy porn!! Help me!!!

Hi Nedim, They're an Indian breed called Bhutia. Some of them are also called Gaddi (the short haired ones). They're used up in the mountains to protect shepherds and their flocks from leopards and other predators. They aren't quite recognised as a pedigree though, but they should be...

    Puppy porn!! Help me!!!

Don't worry about it Debi! I seem to be on a shorter fuse these days because of sleep deprivation! "Puppy porn" has become a sort of inside joke with my family and I just didn't think when I used it as a title! No worries! :)

    Puppy porn!! Help me!!!

Debi, Mojozen & Bubbatd: Why would I waste everyone's time by posting a hoax? The previous litters came to us when they were very young, did NOT have a mother to feed from, which is why I wasn't too worried. The new puppies DO have a mother, and I was wondering why they seem to be exhibiting...

    is this normal...........

Mine have never done this! I have never had that problem, and I have a whole bunch of dogs - 13 of them actually - and they have NEVER eaten their poop - they'll sniff at it but give the pile a really disgusted look and walk off. I've heard it's a symptom of some vitamin deficiency so...

    Puppy porn!! Help me!!!

I can't really separate them though - they need to learn socialising thoroughly because at least two of the litter will be integrated into the existing pack, plus if I take ANY of the puppies away, and they squeal, their mom gets totally frantic and upset... and I'm really attached to her and if...

    New Puppy

Do you have any preferences like does it have to be an English name? or would a Hindi (Indian) or Thai or Italian one do? Eclectic mix I know but I can suggest a couple in all three!!

    Multiple Dogs, Yah or Nay?

How about 20?!! Congratulations on the new puppy - and good luck with the housebreaking!! I would have definitely recommended more than one dog - I have 20 (yes, that's right!) - 13 full grown bhutias and 7 puppies... I wouldn't recommend having that many though - grooming takes forever...

    When Belgians Attack!! *shocking*

Those are great photos! I wish my dogs would play with toys, whips ANYTHING really, but they all grew up in a pack so they'd rather chew on each other!! You have absolutely beautiful dogs!

    Puppy porn!! Help me!!!

Okay, so I went through a similar thing when I first got my dogs (we got my first lot of 5 puppies when they were only 4 weeks old, the second lot of 4 when they were just over 2 weeks old and the last two lots were 4 weeks as well). The first lot of 5 were potty trained really quickly and...

    Pack behaviour with new puppies

Thanks a ton Kama, I recently splurged on a DSLR after my boyfriend got me hooked to photography, so your encouragement is ... well... encouraging!! More to come soon - I'm taking language lessons on the weekends so I really have no time for anything besides puppy-sitting and going over my...

Thanks Ruby, they are absolutely lovely in temperament. I'm going to copy and paste something I wrote earlier to give you an idea of what they're like - I can't write anymore right now - am wrecked from all the puppy-sitting! "Like with most dogs bred for aggression-related work (shepherds...
