In the beginning, I was really pleased to find a site where I could get help through my grief over the loss of my babe, Sebastian. This is my first experience with a forum and until this week, I have enjoyed my time sifting through the threads. I've discovered new ways to train my pups...

Believe me is is nothing but fun in this house. My hubby and I are are just a couple of kids..:D It's because the squirrels can run waaay faster than we can!!:D

I keep on hand Sulfodene 3-way ointment. It prevents infection and provides pain relief, also has germ and insect barrier. I use it for hot spots, minor injuries...etc. Really works well for me. Problem is in finding it. I have to order it in from Pet Supplies Plus, then pick it up. Or you...

A confession....I have some of Sebastian's fur in a bag from a trim before he went. I know it's a little weird, but I take it out once in a while to smell him. Gives me a chance for a really good, cleansing sob.

Althought the end of life is painful, I think that if the end goes badly your grief gets all tied up with hatred of yourself for not doing things the right way. When it came time for my baby Sebastian, it went badly. The vet I chose SUCKED. Once you can get past your "failure" (direct quote)...

Same thing here. My Brutus, Lab/Dane mix, finally stopped the wolfing down at 4 months. I wet his food until then because it freaked me out.

OK...I know this is going to sound silly... what has worked for me is getting down on the floor and pretending to eat the food myself. My husband and I only had to do that a few times before it worked with Brutus. My problem is my kids think they are people too!!:rolleyes:

I don't like the fact that there is no break down of the ingredients and I can't find any info about it anywhere else on-line.
