    I have had enough

I haven't been a member of Chazhound for long but in that time I can honestly say, I have had enough and have decided to leave. I have been given bad advice by people, practically been accused of being a BYB and I have seen people asking for advice from people who have had experience in...

    Old English Sheepdogs

I have never known an OES to have a bad temperment in Australia. Mine were all great with kids and we have never had a problem with any of them biting.

How can I make a season easier?

She has been to the vet and there is nothing wrong with her. She doesn't appear to haqve any pain and her bleeding is no more than our other girls. She was just not herself and feeling very unhappy. It is hard to describe what she was like but if you knew her you would be able to tell that...

How can I make a season easier?

As both of my girls are in season at the same time, I am giving each of them 1 capsule a day. I am also having a herbal remedy made up for my youngest one. It may not be here for this season but at least I will have it for her next season.

Help!! Chinook isn't eating his food!!

The males usually don't eat when the girls are in season because they have other things on their mind e.g. loosing their virginity. The females scent can travel for quite some distance and the males want to do is get to the females. IMO if your boy is like one of mine, I wouldn't try leaving...

Thanks Fran. I think they are beautiful. The one I am talking about is the photo in my sinature. She was 8 weeks old then. I have started her on Evening Primrose Oil to see if that helps.

Help!! Chinook isn't eating his food!!

We are currently going through the same thing. Our bitches have all come into season at the same tim and our males have decided not to eat. You could also try adding some sardines, bar-be-qued chicken or some grated cheese to his food. Our boys love it when I add any of these to their food.

How can I make a season easier?

I will hang around for awhile and see how it goes. I have been breeding for over 25 years and this is the first time I have had a girl come into season this young. I am very close to all my dogs and can always sense when they are not feeling themselves. She is eating normally and is...

How can I make a season easier?

I have had her to the vets and she is perfectly healthy, it appears to be just that she has started early. Keeping her in tact is important but if there were any problems her health would come first.

How can I make a season easier?

I am very familiar with forums in general and dog forums in particular. Suggesting that I get my girl spayed was not help, especially when my avatar states that I am a breeder. The problems that I am having with her do not matter now because I am leaving this forum and going to where I will...

How can I make a season easier?

Thank you Athebeau but I am in Australia. I wasn't sure if anyone had any remedies I could make up here. All my other girls have easy seasons. I have been told that it is only because she is so young for our breed.
