Ohh I am so sorry for your loss, I have never had a feret but I have heard they make great friends. Sami had heart disease and stomach cancer, they both came on suddenly. We had to put her to sleep on Saturday.

I never thought of spaniel.... interesting. I did so love her soft floppy ears :0) Thanks for the ideas! So far we have Beagle mix and Spaniel.... anymore ideas? I did find a hound rescue near us and they have puppies! Usually I am not set on a puppy, we look for our new family members...

She passed away on Saturday from heart disease...... we loved her so much. We found her 6 yrs ago. We couldn't replace her ever but I love her personality and everything about her, so I am hoping if I know her basic breed I can search some animal shelters, etc. and maybe find me a new friend...
