Are my dogs fighting, or getting to know one another?

She's gotten right in his face twice in the past few minutes...he bared his teeth the first time, and didn't react at all the second time. I never would've thought my dog would submit to her...but it seems like that's happening?

Are my dogs fighting, or getting to know one another?

I feel the need to add this - I went upstairs to get something to eat, came back down (my wife is watching TV), and.... ...apparently Myah had been trying to mount Oliver! I know that's a dominance issue...welll...he jumped up on the couch onto my wife's lap, she followed, got behind...

Are my dogs fighting, or getting to know one another?

I've had a Shepherd/Husky mix since he was about 6 weeks old (we had him early due to his mother dying unexpectedly). His name is Oliver, and he's now 3 1/2. Yesterday we welcomed a new member to the family, Myah, who's also a Husky/Shepherd mix (she has more Husky in her from the looks of it...

Rabies Vaccine Questions - PLEASE answer ASAP!

The only thing I need to know now is if I need to have my vet administer the rabdomun vaccine. I haven't seen anything about it on the website links you've provided, but he's scheduled to get it along with his rabies shot tomorrow. Is it necessary, or should I tell them to not give it to him?

Rabies Vaccine Questions - PLEASE answer ASAP!

Well, a local store that I frequent sells the 7 in 1 vaccine (that includes parvo and all of that), and we self-vaccinated him with that when he was 10 weeks old. Would you do the rabies shot the same way? If not, I'll just take him in tomorrow. Do I need the rabdomun shot, though?

Rabies Vaccine Questions - PLEASE answer ASAP!

Sorry for the rush, but my appointment is Thursday. :) My puppy (German Shepherd/Husky mix, named Oliver, 16 months old) was due for his rabies vaccination on July 7. I've put it off and put it off because of being unsure about giving him the shot, as I know there's an increasing trend toward...

    Problem with puppy chewing blankets

I think that may be true, because sometimes he'll put one of the blankets in his mouth and just sit there, not licking or chewing on it. Thanks for the advice!

    Problem with puppy chewing blankets

Just one - a small hedgehog that squeaks. He loves it. :)

    Problem with puppy chewing blankets

Well, the only problem there is that Oliver sleeps with us at night, and generally will wake up at times to do his chewing. So restricting him from the blankets isn't feasible...plus it wouldn't really teach him not to do it.

    Problem with puppy chewing blankets

My Oliver is almost a year old now (March 30!), and he's the greatest puppy I could ever have asked for. Our only complaint is that he likes to chew our blankets and pillows - REALLY likes to chew them. He's torn holes in three of our nicest blankets, leaving stuffing all over the house, and...

    Oliver's eye is red/pink - help

My fiance noticed tonight that Oliver's right eye is red around the bottom and a little bit on the right. Naturally we're in panic mode, because Oliver means the world to us. It looks a lot like pink eye - can dogs get this? Would eyedrops help out? He seems to be feeling fine, although he pawed...

    My Oliver is being neutered...

What exactly are cones, and where do you get them? (Told you I'm in the dark on this! :))

    My Oliver is being neutered...

...at 8AM. He's at the vet's overnight, which is pure hell on me and my fiancee - it's so hard not to have him around! :) My main question is what can I expect in the days afterwards, in terms of pain and mood. What can I do to make sure he doesn't mess with the incision? My mother said she gave...

    Question About Housetraining vs. Housebreaking

Our Oliver (4 1/2 months, Husky/German Shephard mix) was nearly housebroken until about three weeks ago - now he refuses to go outside just about at all. In the last week he's peed outside three times and pooped once, total. It's becoming a nightmare for us - he'll be running in circles because...

    My Oliver has fleas!

He's 17 weeks old, and I just spotted a couple on him down near his private region. I've already ordered some Frontline Plus (I'd ordered it last week as a "just in case" measure), but this is the first dog I've truly cared for on my own, along with my fiance. Is there anything else I need to...

If you use Frontline for Fleas........

Two things to add to this conversation: To Renee750, try discountpetsdrugs.com - prices there are slightly cheaper for Frontline Plus. Secondly, I ordered Frontline on Thursday from the above site, and it's shipped. So you might want to try there.

    Forgetting He's Housebroken?

Okay, here's the setup with Oliver. He's four months old, and we had him (in my opinion) pretty much housebroken a month ago. He always let us know when he had to go, whether it was barking or whining at the door, he always peed and pooped outside, and rarely (every 2-3 days, maybe) he'd pee...

    Cost for spaying?

For neutering, is it usually about the same price? Do the animals stay overnight for that as well?
