Koolies are such neat dogs! :) I have fallen inlove with this breed and hope to own one (or more!) some day. They are a very active herding breed, and a big backyard is a must for them.

Jack Russell Terriers! They are too smart for their own good sometimes, and can be very stubborn too! :D .. But are highly intelligent.

I love my Chihuahua as she is really loving and extremely sweet. She's really good with children and other people. She can get quite timid at times, I guess that's what happens when my other dog is so dominant! I like her big personality, and how she thinks she's much bigger than she really is...

I've never had any experience with Pharaoh Hounds. In fact, I saw my first Pharaoh Hound yesterday! I was so excited to see one! :D They are such a beautiful dog. Aww the dog on PetFinder has such cute, BIG ears! :)

I really don't see JRT in your friend's dog. I'd guess something like GSD (deff) and maybe Golden Retriever. My cousin has a Golden x (not sure what), but he has a similar body and colouring (minus the black) to your friend's dog.

I never watch the episodes where she talks with celebrities, as I find them really boring. I don't know how old the episodes are that they're showing here in Australia, but there have been some good/interesting ones lately. She did go through a period where it was all about celebrities, though...

What sets 'designer dogs' and mixed breeds apart (in my opinion) is the intentions of the breeder. It's the fact that 'designer dog breeders' are trying to pass off their specifically bred litters of puppies as purebred dogs, and charging hundreds of dollars for them. They solely breed their...

I'm not meaning to put any worth into the term, but there is worth in every dog's life. The thing is, some people take that term literally.. which is very sad as of course there's a lack of 'design' thoughts put in to breeding two dogs for a quick profit. Anyway, I don't want to drift away...

All "designer dogs" are mixed breeds/muts, but not all mixed breed/mutts are "designer dogs". And I agree with Dr2little who said "a mutt is as "valuable" as any pure bred dog". ...Maybe not valuable to the dog breeds itself, but their life is very valuable in my eyes.
