I too would call the vet. Did two after birth come out? It is also possible for another infection to be there or yes more puppies and in that case I would bring her to the vet asap. In my experience the dam is a chowhound after giving birth. Are the puppies nursing?

While the coat is growing out you may want to wrap it to prevent breakage. Oil is an idea. Chris Christiensen has great pin brushes to brush with. I feed Life Exxtension by solid gold. It is an immune boosting supplement I started after one of my boys was diagnosed hypothyroid.

I apply vitamin E oil to the dogs I groom with calused elbows.

Ivory dish washing soap is great at cutting the grease. No water when applied work through with your nails and then rinse.

When I groom my samoyeds and don't feel like turning on a blower I use an under coat rake it is fabulous. I find the shedding blades are not long enough.
