My one question/concern would be does it get super hot in the sun? I imagine most leather like collars get hot when the sun is beating down on them.

Thanks for sharing that recipe, the dogs and I like to walk through the fields back behind out house, and with the number of deer(and therefore deer ticks) in the area, plus all of the other ticks i have seen, this sounds like a good idea. ETA: ... I HATE ticks as well :P

The thing that weirds me out the most is the shiny balls (GSD's come to mind) .... there should be hair there
