    "your" breed

I have enjoyed reading everyone's answers. It is so interesting to see what it is we love about our particular breeds and why. First of all, what do you consider "your" breed? I have two breeds I love - Great Pyrenees which I had for most of my life and Chinese Cresteds which I have had...

    Interesting arrangement...

I agree that it could work out if everything is clearly spelled out between the human parties and it shows thought and caring on the part of the current people who would still love to be a part of his life. Hope they are able to find just the right person/family who can make it happen.

    Caring for an intact female

My two girls were spayed at around 6 months and before their first heat. I had no desire to breed or have to keep up with heats. My oldest is 12 1/2 years old and my second is 10 years old. I haven't had any problems at all with them including weight gain. They have maintained their adult...

Im really wanting a dog I just met, but cant have.

It is funny that sometimes what we think we don't want at all can bring us the most joy. That being said, it is hard, isn't it, when we cross paths with a dog or cat that we just love but may not be available. I had this happen once with a cat. I still think about that cat.

    Cleaning ears?

I use witch hazel - it has done great for my two who need ear cleaning. I wet a q-tip with it, clean around in the ear and gently a very little way into the canal and use as many q-tips as necessary to get everything out. Then I wet a cotton ball, wipe around the outside of the ear and...

    Dogs with cancer support groups?

western blot, your question has ended up on a spay/neuter thread. Perhaps one of the Mods can move it so it will be on its own. None of the links worked for me so I can't see what the health issues were in the original first post. I'll try and look for the first one elsewhere as I'd most...

Cesarmonkey Jammies for Chinese Cresteds and Small Dogs!

Right now we have been able to accommodate some medium size (by breed standard) Xolos. The maximum measurements we have done are neck 16", girth 25" and topline 22". This is larger than our standard large sizing listed on the website and were custom ordered. Not sure where your boy would be in...

Why can't I give my dog IV therapy at home. I need an answer NOW please, any vets?

I'm glad you were able to get some good answers as to why not the IV at home and I hope that Rita responds to your current treatment. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

Cesarmonkey Jammies for Chinese Cresteds and Small Dogs!

Thank you very much LilahRoot. We appreciate your comment and are very happy everything was to your satisfaction! Saeleofu - Gavroche is just a little bigger than our current size range I'm afraid!!:) I'll bet he wouldn't consider shrinking either LOL!

Effort to find help for an aggressive foster.

One thing you can do is to look on Petfinder for rescues/no kill shelters in your area (you can search by zip code) and contact them to see if they would be able and willing to take in this dog. This is a good beginning for you to explore.
