Legal or not (mostly not) this is a SERIOUS health risk to the dog! Letting a dog kill a wild raccoon exposes the dog to potential disease and infection (and since when are raccoon toys instead of animals?).

Thank you for the welcome! SarahHound, I love greyhounds, our family tried with a rescue and I was very upset when it didn't work out. But he was a beautiful dog and there are several others in the neighborhood who I pat whenever I can!

I think this is something I will have to discuss in more detail with a breeder once I settle on the right one. Hopefully the breeder will have a good sense of each of the puppies available and be able to discuss their personalities a little.

Glad to hear that you (and others) have had some success with training papillons not to bark! When the time comes, I may come back to you for advice on techniques :)
