    Chaz puppies of 2013

Gorgeous pup! DH is already so impressed with our red girl that he is already thinking our next dog will also be an ACD. Me? I am just looking forward to surviving puppyhood and not doing it again for several years. :)

    Breed suggestions?

I ditto crazedACD. The first breed that came to my mind was an ACD.

    Snapshot from your day

I finally got a picture of Rusty while she was actually looking at me and sitting still. Man that seems like such an accomplishment with a very active heeler pup.

Dog your dogs wear collars 24/7

Our dogs generally do where them 24/7. We use the collars for ID purposes and city licensing.

    Snapshot from your day

Rusty did not bother to actually look at me for a picture during our break after our evening walk. Of course I also didn't try to get her attention either because that always meant puppy in my face and not puppy posing for a picture. :)

    I'm so scared

Sorry you are going through this. As far as autoimmune disorders, there are many different types if I remember correctly. I went through that with my German shepherd. Get well soon Talon!

    Barn chore help

Thanks! We do not have any cattle or sheep unfortunately for her to actually work, just horses. But she will hopefully be my future trail companion once she matures.

    Do any other breeds "talk"?

My German shepherd was quite the talker. It was one of the traits I absolutely adored about him.

    Chaz puppies of 2013

We picked up Rusty last week. She is an Australian cattle dog (red heeler). This is one of the first pictures I was sent of her while still at the breeder's at 4 weeks old. And one from today at 9 weeks old.

    English Shepherd in MN

Gorgeous pup! I would have been one of those people making incorrect guesses. Although I have heard of English shepherds, I have never met one in person. I look forward to seeing more of her as she grows!

What is the deal with the Katie Puff beds?

Yikes! Way too expensive for my taste. Then again, our golden's bed is just an old pillow/sham my husband gave him to use when I was out of town. Oh well, it works. My border collie had a $30 Target dog bed. Otherwise the floor or their kennel sufficed.

    Hello from South Dakota!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am glad to see that there are other heeler enthusiasts here! I am a huge fan of herding breeds. Rusty is my first purebred heeler although I have been around a lot of them. The retriever is hubby's. They are great dogs, but overall I tend to not care for...
