Insomnia and Horse Forums Are a Bad Combo...

yeah I agree with you, it seems like the owner of the Rotti is the one that needs to be re-trained. I hate it when people create problems, then blame the animal for the problems that they created. As a fellow horse-person I understand your frustration, I find (unfortunately) that a lot of horse...

    Jump Combination

I agree with everyone, but the way this has been said would have put me on the defense too. Having someone you don't know shake a finger in your face and tell you that, essentially, you are a bad dog owner is enough to make anyone bristle. To be honest, I think Paige put it the best...Also...

    Sierra got into

My parent's lab ate a pound of butter once too...um....if you can tie her outside I would highly recommend it...poor Lucky was spraying horizontally out her butt (sorry for the mental picture) and couldn't make it outside...we had to repaint the wall in the dining room, no joke :yikes: it's a...

    hoarding

:lol-sign: yeah, I think I might just let him be...he isn't harming anything, LOL, aside from all the puppy hair he gets on everything :rofl1: Like I said, he just rolls and burrows and flips around in the clothes and shoes and toys that he's collected over the course of the night...he took...

Gunnar's trip to the dog park!

Haha, when we were deciding on a name for Gunnar we almost named him Odin instead, haha perhaps we should have :P It would have saved some confusion... Odin seems to be a cliche name for Elkies though...but we felt that he needed a Norwegian name, :lol-sign: so we named him Gunnar....I didn't...

    hoarding

So Gunnar, my Norwegian Elkhound pup, has been hoarding things in his bed :lol-sign: it's kind of cute, but a big nuisance because when I get up to take him out in the night at least one, if not both, of my slippers and shoes are gone. He never chews them, he just collects socks, pants, shirts...

Warning about kibbles, and question about raw diet...

@ Brattina88, thanks for all the help! I really appreciate it! We bought some cuts that were 50% off at the grocery store today while we were doing our shopping, they were rib bones with lots of meat attached and gave one to Gunnar to see if he would like it before we invested in a raw diet...
