My pup has the opposite problem! She is a large American Bulldog and she always wants to play with the small, itty bitty dogs at the dog parks. She tends to think she is small and even tries to sit on my lap!
You should definitely try to find out who's dog it is and talk to your neighbor. If they aren't looking like they are going to work with you, you may want to talk to other neighbors or your management company (if you have one).
My dog's name is Lola. She was adopted from a local senior high school and the students in the school's veterinary program named her. I couldn't have picked a better name! :)

When I adopted my dog Lola she already had a name. I adopted her from a local senior high school (Varela Senior High) that has a special veterinary and adoption program. The students in the program named her Lola, and Lola she stayed.

Wow! I didn't even know about this. I have heard about restrictions on American Pit Bulls because it is against the law to own one in Miami-Dade County, Florida but not other breeds.
