Can anyone here recommend a line of books that are good reference sources to a wide variety of breeds?

This was one of many rare breeds I have had my eye on for a while. Can anyone here tell me (from personal experiences) about them?

(If not in right forum please move it) I was maybe thinking of getting the item mentioned in the topic tittle. Should I get it from the source (AKC)? Or is there a cheaper place I could get it from? P.S If anyone knows a similar product that you think is superior to what I mentioned do...

What's good about them and what's bad about them (Writer's block all I could come up with :lol-sign:)?

Which is the better option to start with? Should I go with a puppy that is a clean slate and has a while to live? Or should I go with a dog who might not have as long to live but might know some commands (I don't do physco dogs so there).

In a nutshell, What are they like(Trainability, temperament etc.)? And would you recommend one to a beginner(I'm going to say more of a no because of the whole "Terrier" mentality, right)?
