Honestly, I don't know. I believe I have had every dog I've had for a reason, and that it made me a better person/owner/trainer... but had I known what I was signing up for with some of them, I don't think I would've felt capable to deal with the issues.

Ear mites are incredibly common in cats, but very very uncommon in dogs. If Talon's a dog my bet would be more in the realm of ear infection. Any sort of "yeasty" odor to the ear(s)? Poor dude! Hope he feels better soon. :)

I love my dogs' Walkeeez harnesses. My only nitpick is the fleece behind the elbows tends to twist some (the strap it pads stays put though), but it doesn't seem to bother the dogs at all. I agree with Erin as far as Y chest style harnesses.

Be careful with the sliding -- for one it probably won't hold up well on rubberized contacts, and also on sand-based contacts she could jam or even fracture toes on the slats.
