i think gizmo is a sleeper......some days, im gone (meeting with clients or in class) for 6 hours or so...and whenever i get back...he's asleep at the top of the stairs....so hopefully its gonna be aight for the lil guy!

I have a 6 month old Yorkie (neutered) and i gotta say, we've gotten him trained pretty well go go potty in his litterbox...i bet 95% of the time he'll go in there....and he rarely pees/poops outside of it. HOWEVER im starting to sense that he knows WHERE to go....but not WHERE NOT to...

the pads are awesome....thing is, they tend to smell....cause i hate to throw them out right away...cause they have his scent on it....so he's more likely to go there....but yeah....hooray for pads.....im gonna try the dog litter soon....cheaper, a little cleaner, and easier :)

and just for a little humor....when we first got him, we had him on the bed...and we just bought this potty training book....we had it setting on the bed as well.... well, you can see here what he thought of potty training ;)

Howdy! Going through this same deal myself...we have a 11-week old yorkie (quite a little fireball ;)) -- we had him gated off in my in-laws kitchen while we were there for thanksgiving, and we put a pad down.....he started to potty/poop on the pad......he did that with about 80% success ....so...

i think that the key to keeping my sanity will be just biding my time for the next month or two until our new house is done...he'll have plenty o' room to play in there :) its a little un-nerving having him in the same room with you all day long! :) i love the puppy...but cant wait to have...

wow, thanks for taking the time to help me out......i'll try to keep in mind that he's a puppy on a lot of things....and as my wife puts it "at least he pees just a puddle, not a lake :)" he was a product of his mother's first litter, so evidently, she wasnt the best mom, thus, why we have...
