Anyone ever get a passport for a young child?

They aren't particular about the pictures. SHannon was just barely 2 when she got hers and though it has to be updated in 5 years, the pic is awful. She is screaming her head off in it and her face is bright red with her mouth open - they accepted it.

    Love

Well maybe emailing (if you're getting that more frequently than phone calls, I know I'm not really) and putting it out in a calm and nice manner, but even then it's easy to read into something and have it come across wrong - since there's no tone with an email. Do I think it's rude he said...

I'm ready for this day to end

Laugh about it - trust me, after yesterday's incident...I sat down and laughed like a maniac after telling my grandmother what happened...it just sounded so ridiculous when I said it that it was funny, and she agreed. I also feel much better about it having done that.

    Love

My suggestion? Keep anything that's going to start any kind of argument or hurt feelings OUT of morale calls - it just makes life a hell of a lot easier (this is my 3rd time with a deployed spouse) If you're like me, you don't get to talk to them enough as it is. I mean, I got a 15 min phone...

I'm ready for this day to end

LOL, I read the "bell tower" comment as more of a Lee Harvey Oswald bell tower incident, not a jumper. As long as Sparks doesn't have a Carcano, we should be safe. Sparks, I can commiserate with the situation - except it's usually a weekly thing for me. I find that once I'm to my "bell tower"...

    Thinking about getting Mina microchipped.

I *think* you can register any brand of chip with HomeAgain also. I know on Lacey's AKC papers I added her chip # as a secondary form of ID. Once you get her chipped, might be a good idea to have it added as another form of ID to things like her rabies cert and such when you go to do a new one...

    Unfortunate initials

I thought about what initials would look like picking names too. My kids are: EAM SPC SLC

    Thinking about getting Mina microchipped.

:yikes: Have you tried calling like low cost spay and neuter clinics? A lot of the time (like the one here) they'll do chipping for real cheap too. Chipping is a walk-in appt at the one here too, no office fee or anything. $55 for the chip is ridiculous! You can buy HomeAgain chips for...

    Thinking about getting Mina microchipped.

My vet didn't do the chipping so I had to register them individually. But when I had Smokey chipped the vet did it from the office and input it all from there - I think it cost like $38-40.

    Halloween

Matt has decided he wants to go as a dog handler - go figure  so we picked him up a very small Army uniform and he's going to take Lacey with him. Not sure for Sean and Shannon yet. Last year Sean went as teh Grim Reaper, the year before, the Devil. Shannon didn't go out last year...

Mia is frustrating me a lot lately

See I kind of prefer a dog that doesn't love everyone it meets, but that's me. Lacey still doesn't like strangers, she's just tolerant of them - i.e. stranger approaches, can reach down and pet her, but she doesn't really enjoy it. Is there anyway you can put toys up in (maybe in a solid...

    Leather Collars

I asked the folks at the leather goods store this the other day. They have a water protectant you can spray on, so that might be an option. If you want I can get the name of it for you.

    Thinking about getting Mina microchipped.

Mine are chipped with HomeAgain, registration is $16, the chips were about $17 - so $25 isn't a bad deal. What i liked about them is I registered their chips through their website and can change my address just by logging in and typing in new information. Of course they have the pamphlet that...

    Marriage License stress

No problem, the very last thing you need to be stressing about before your wedding is the marriage license. Just make sure to ask them how long it's valid for (CO is valid for 30 days after applying so you have to get married and return in or get charged extra if it's over 30 days) so that it...

    Marriage License stress

Oh, rather than waiting the weeks to get the card back, have them do an official print out at the time as well, it is generally accepted also. I know Colorado is ok with mixed ID's. My husband has a California ID, mine is from Arizona - we got a Colorado marriage license the same day we...

    Rude awakening.

Do you really honestly believe a baby gate is going to stop a dog that dug a huge hole under my fence to get in, because I don't. No, now my option is open or closed - my landlords won't even fix my oven and it's been broken for over a year so it's not like they're going to spend the big bucks...
