I visited with Tasha yesterday. She's droped about 4 pounds and looks better. She is on heartworm treatment and tolerating it thus far. I am sure she will find a good home that will be able to bring her out of her shell with patience.

I imagine these are all pulled from puppy mills or PM auctions. Rescue groups are better prepared to spend the 1000's of dollars it will take to get former PM dogs vetted and into foster homes for socialization, their first walks in grass and on leashes. If not then humane euthanasia is...

I think that was a polite way to say she was spayed while pregnant. As heavy heartworm as she is and not knowing what size the pups would have been. it was no doubt a wise choice to spay her instead of letting her whelp. That way they could begin the heartworm treatment sooner rather than later...
