I would never crate my guys together. They get along fine but in a confined space like that, no way would I take that kind of chance. I can put them in an ex-pen together (supervised), but a crate is a whole different story.

I don't let me guys play or chew on sticks. I do agree with others that technically any toy could be dangerous (i.e. swallowing), so I do monitor my guys with the ball or tug toy. For me the biggest difference between a stick and a ball it the sharp pointy edge. I don't want to take a chance...
