thank you for the advice, i actually have switched his food many times, and im still trying to find the best food for his body, i also live in southern california and fleas everywhere, one thing with my maltese, as you know maltese are spotted if you shave their hair you will see the body...

the doctor told me the best is advantix, and it only lasts for 2 weeks IF and only if you give your dog a bath once every 2 weeks, and i believe they are all pretty much the same, oil based, advantix is just so darn expensive :( and i know its not food related because i tested different food...

but if you have a small dog like me, and he sleeps with me on my bed, its always good to have him clean you know, so thats the thing

So how often do you give your dog a shower? for me about once a week. someone told me its good if you wait a month as the dogs coat needs the oil etc., is that true?

i think dog parks are pretty much the worse place you can take your dog, although its fun for your dog, there is so much badness, dont you guys agree?

update on my dog, he is doing fine, although a few spots came back, they disappeared within a week and he seems to be ok :)

Hello all, Ok update on my dog, took him to another good vet, spent a good 450$ and looks like my dog is getting better, doc said steroids and cortezone should be the last step any vet should take to heal any issue, so they shaved my dog all the way, cleaned all the hot spots and fungus, treated...

if you found one tick, and it was not sucking blood, most prob. your dog is ok, and most likely that was the only tick, but if you ever see a flea, then chances are there might be more then one.

i dont know if its a myth or not but i do know that a healthy dog has to have a moist nose and always wet, at least for what i have read about dogs.
