    Fleas!!!!! Grr!!!!!

I have never had a problem with fleas but this year they're horrible. My dogs have them all the time and I give them a bath with dawn dish soap to kill them and in just a few days they come back (I think they're getting them when we go for walks at the park?) they both have topical flea...

    I feel so... decisive. Finally!

(Sorry idk how to quote from my phone) Yes that's exactly what took me into the OR as well. And getting your sterile processing certificate will put you way ahead for the program you are absolutely correct. Plus you will be that much more competitive when job hunting because having those skills...

    I feel so... decisive. Finally!

Congratulations on making that decision and taking the leap to start the process!! I just thought I would jump in and say that surgical tech program is a blast (I went to Mt Hood Comm Coll in Oregon) and just graduated in June. It is an awesome career and I love it. I too was looking at PTA...

Tips for Transitioning from house to apartment?

This is all great info thank you guys! You're easing my fears. They are accustomed to their crates so the whole bringing "their homes" with us makes sense. Also Mysti's most excited about going outside if I go with her so hopefully she will like that part of it also - every time we go out I'm...

Tips for Transitioning from house to apartment?

Ok good to know. As far as I know they are good in crates when I leave. When I'm home they are quiet in crates.... Will have to test that I guess. They do bark at "bumps in the night" a fair amount when I'm home but when I tell them to quiet down they do.... Hopefully it can just be a learning...

Tips for Transitioning from house to apartment?

So I am moving from living at home with my family in a house with a fenced yard to an apartment with my two dogs. I'm really stressing out about the transition as my dogs have never lived in an apartment. Jazz is older other than having to learn to be on leash all the time she should do just...

    Oregon People

Breed Restrictions Depends on where you go.... Places I looked at were a case by case basis, and were more concerned about number of dogs or size of dog than breed. Looking at houses was easier, landlords are more forgiving once they meet the dogs and realized they're not psycho, versus an...

    Oregon People

Where are you located, and what is the weather like? I'm in Canby - it's about a half hour south of Portland. I love Oregon in so many ways you can't go wrong no matter where you are. Canby has two state parks within it that are awesome for letting the dogs run and there are so many...

    Help. Escalated aggression.....

She hasn't had a full work up in quite awhile actually..... She did get a "massage/adjustment" last Sunday and the following two days she was much more tolerant of the other dogs now that you mention it..... Maybe a trip to the vet is in order.... That's a good point

    Help. Escalated aggression.....

I've posted about my 2yr old mini Aussie Mysti a couple times... And here I am again.... She is a great dog most of the time, and coexists with our other three female mini Aussies fairly well with just some growling here and there in territorial manner (guarding me or my bed if she's on it)...

    Bike riding?

I want to start taking Mysti on bike rides with me to exercise her (and myself! Lol). Any tips/info you it's can give me? She doesn't seem afraid of the bike when we just walk with it.... She's 2yrs old is it ok to IDE on paved streets with her? How long is too long? What's the best way to keep...

    Forrest Micke?

Does anyone know much about him? He is coming to my trainers barn to do a workshop on motivation and teamwork and I'm considering being a working team or auditing it. From what I've heard/seen he seems really good but I don't know a whole lot..... Do you guys know anything about him?

    Insecure dog? Help!

So my young dog (2 yrs old) Mysti has started getting very protective and guards of me. If other dogs in the house come near me when she's near me she will growl at them, same thing if she is on my bed etc. So to try to work on this behavior I've started just getting up and leaving or making...
