A couple of years ago we bought our two Doxies each a BIG smoked hambone (don't know if it was knuckle) at Petco. We very nearly lost Amy. She's a strong chewer and was able to chip off little pieces of the bone...lots of them apparently. They clogged up her intestines and nothing would pass...
