    Starting a dog rescue/shelter rescue

So me and the wife have this thought down the road in a couple years of doing a rescue/shelter at our home. I was wondering if anyone had input as to available monies that may be out there for helping w/ this, or is it something that's not available and you're going to foot most of the bills...

    Beagle markings, normal or not

Our beautiful rescued beagle, Pickles, who we've had for about a year, has always had a heavily marked belly and legs underneath, but it seems they've gone from pink/gray to more of a gray/black color recently. If you know what I'm talking about, is that normal as the dog ages or something...

Dog goes belly up when trying to redirect/train, etc.

    Thinking of adopting/fostering bassett hounds

I've read some of the negatives, shedding, stubbornness, etc, but love the look and would like to try one as a friend to our beagle dog. We are in the process of getting approved through BROOD to possibly foster/adopt one. Any info would be appreciated.

    Pickles

Glad I found these forums and here is our dog, Pickles. She's a beagle, possibly mixed, but she acts like all beagle. We saved her through a shelter saving organization and she is about two years old now. She is a great dog and trained well, listens, and sleeps under the covers. She does...
