Thanks for your input everyone. I think I'll train the dog to go outside.

I am getting my Boston Terrier at the end of September and have been reading up on housetraining, etc. A couple books say to paper train the dog before training it to go outside. Why can't I just train it to go outside from the beginning? Thanks for the help.
