New title on the AHT Wonder Twins!

My two AHTs earned their ATTS Temperament Tested (TT) title this Saturday. It was a huge accomplishment for us, as this makes them the first AHTs to have been tested and earn this title in the history of the organization. Just had to brag on my girls ....

The Spud (AHT) goes to ground ...

they had a GTG tunnel setup at racing practice today and we gave it a shot. The little brat surprised me and was a natural. (AHTs/Rat Terriers were not bred to go to ground - they were bred to work above ground - but that didn't stop her!) Spud did awesome and she had the fastest time of...

Why I got a working bred terrier ...

At a little over 8 weeks, she WILL get her tuggy off the flirt pole, even if she has to fly! And being freakin' adorable doesn't hurt ...

AKC Coursing Ability Test (CAT) and the Colliewogs

Well, we finally got to go to our first CAT and the Collies had a blast (sorry no pics, so don't ask! lol). Both girls ran great, despite the 90 degree weather, and each earned 2 of the 3 needed Qualifying Runs toward their CA titles. Yea! :) Sadly, it's too hot for anything else until...

Back from 3 days of terrier racing ...

New puppy soon in the Colliewog household!!

He's not a Collie (obviously) but instead another racing terrier. This time, it's a Patterdale Terrier. He's just 4 weeks old in the pic, but already seems to be a very confident and curious little guy.

Anyone compete in UKC Cur & Feist events?

I was reading the rules and it says all UKC recognized breeds (excluding coonhounds) are eligible! I see a new venture for the Collies and the terriers!! United Kennel Club: Cur & Feist Titles of Excellence from UKC and Requirements to Earn Them

    Spud and Dora's new titles

It's been a busy few months! Dora earned her CGC with flying colors. Spud earned both her UFR and USR (UKC terrier racing titles) in January. In December she won BOB over some really nice GRCH dogs and ended up competing for BIS. This little win has currently at #4 in the UKC...

    Lure coursing fun runs ...

While waiting for a CAT test near me, and to beef up the terriers' racing style, we've been doing some lure course fun runs. Spud Mastered the tight turn ... Low quality, but she's flat out and I love her smooth muscles... OE S-t-r-e-t-c-h Yelling at the lure - "Git back...

    OE and progress ....

My little OE, who I've only had for a little over 6 months, has been a busy girl! She has already earned her CH and GRCH titles, as well as her UFR and USR titles (beginning UKC Terrier Racing titles). I'm so proud of my little girl!

The AHT Twins started their racing career ...

The pups turned a year old on Oct 19, ready for their first Terrier Race on Oct 23 & 24. At first, Spud was a little unsure about running with the muzzle, while OE appears to be a natural. Races again on Nov 6 & 7 and both girls did great, both earning points towards their UKC racing titles...

    Haven't been around - general updates ...

First, some very sad news. Two weeks ago Saturday I had to euthanize my beloved boy Malcolm. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him ... :( But some sunshine in my dark days ... :) Dora earned her URO2 (UKC Rally Advanced) title Spud finished her UKC Championship. OE finished...

    Colliewogs, as requested ...

These were taken by a photographer at a rally trial a few months ago. I figured I'd share since I don't have any other current pics of the Collies. Dora - heeling and grinning. Dora - heeling briskly Dora starting the about left turn. She's never done this one before, but she...

Another terrier in the Colliewog household

Let's see if this works ... EDIT - I think it's working now ... This is Zoe, Spud's litter sister. She was available, and I wanted another terrier for Spud to play with. It was a perfect fit. They are a fun pair of girls!! :D

What do you get a terrier puppy on her 6 mos birthday?

A backpack ... and a sister to play with!! (This is Spud's actual sister who became available, so she has been added to my clan). Meet Zoe ...

    Rolling on things they like?

I'm not talking about animal poo or carrion, but let's say a new, really cool toy. Every time Spud gets a new toy, or a chewie, or something she really likes, she has to roll on it. I've never had a dog do this, but her breeder says all of her dogs do it, so maybe it's a terrier thing? Input? :D

New Rally titles for both girls!

It was a great weekend - 3 trials, 3 Qs each and both earned their URO1 (UKC Rally Level 1) title. :) Yeah! Scores: Dora - 82, 94, 94 Smidgen - 85, 92, 80 Never would I have imagined that the trouble-maker Dora would end up being the 'good dog' this weekend. LOL
