    it isnt that big, but i need something to start with for my dogs to play in. i could do a smaller yard for a while, then make the larger fenced in area as i go... then open it up to them in the end maybe.

    i haven't seen 6-foot farm fencing, but i will look in to it i suppose. whatever i do, i just have to keep in mind that i will more than likely stop at 1/2 acre to be fenced in, but i'm not rich. thats why i didnt want to go with wooden.

    i took my labs to petsmart one day to get their nails trimmed. I will never do this again! with their solid black claws, it is hard to see the quik. they cut into my pup a bit, shedding blood in their floor. i wasn't too happy with this. maybe it's just that hard, i dont know. i have not trimmed...

    getting my dogs used to the water a little bit... i throw their toys while playing fetch, of course. on occassion i will toss them into one of the $5 walmart swimming pools, so they get in it and retrieve the wet toy. is this a good idea? think it will help when i get them to real water?

    i feel about the same. there are a hell of a lot better ways to tame and train a dog than shocking it or beating it to a bloody pulp. personally i dont know these better ways, but i'm sure they exist...
