it isnt that big, but i need something to start with for my dogs to play in. i could do a smaller yard for a while, then make the larger fenced in area as i go... then open it up to them in the end maybe.

i haven't seen 6-foot farm fencing, but i will look in to it i suppose. whatever i do, i just have to keep in mind that i will more than likely stop at 1/2 acre to be fenced in, but i'm not rich. thats why i didnt want to go with wooden.

i took my labs to petsmart one day to get their nails trimmed. I will never do this again! with their solid black claws, it is hard to see the quik. they cut into my pup a bit, shedding blood in their floor. i wasn't too happy with this. maybe it's just that hard, i dont know. i have not trimmed...

I was in petsmart this weekend, and notice they have a pet training class. 8 weeks, once a week, 1 hour per class. has anyone gone to these? is it worth it? are there any reccomendations from the fellow forum readers on where i might take my mutts to get training? I am in San Antoni, TX, incase...

getting my dogs used to the water a little bit... i throw their toys while playing fetch, of course. on occassion i will toss them into one of the $5 walmart swimming pools, so they get in it and retrieve the wet toy. is this a good idea? think it will help when i get them to real water?

well ok where to pick back up at; sorry i was away for a few days. in the morning when i go to feed my dogs, they will jump against the glass as i stated. my normal reaction is i stand up and stare at them until they have stopped for about a minute. then i return to fill the bowl.. repeating...

oh yea, the pups found a frog this morning fo rthe first time... its funny watching a 40 pound pup bark her head of and paw at the frog!

i feel about the same. there are a hell of a lot better ways to tame and train a dog than shocking it or beating it to a bloody pulp. personally i dont know these better ways, but i'm sure they exist...
