Flight bound Schipperke

We have a 18-month old female Schipperke. She’s going to make her first flight to Colorado for Xmas. Has anyone ever taken their Schipperke on a flight? The vet suggested giving her a sedative hours before takeoff. Fortunately she’s small enough to fit under the seat in front of us. Please let me know. Of course I’m nervous for her!!!

What kind of breed is that? How does she travel in a car? Do you expect her to get fidgety if she is with you? If so, I would sedate, if not, i would not.
