Best sedum ever.

lettuce kale and for real this time, rat tail radishes to go with our haunted garden plans. Our theme is going to be Plants Vs Zombies, a favorite game of my grandchildren. i am now making zombies, and getting quite an education on zombies from little people. They came up with the idea, 5 and 6 year old while they were planting seeds, and taking pictures, that next year's garden should start with the letter p. I have no idea where or why they came up with that, but i am glad they chose that letter and not some other, because the more we talked about it, the more doable it became. Popcorn, stain glass next year, purple potatoes, peppers, different kinds of peas, a pumpkin, parsnips, and the like. I said each person could come up with a name, Petunia Plot , Pumpernickle Plot (Hyia's suggestion) and the like, since we have a plot. THat was when Aiden said I want Plants vs Zombies. So i said why don't we do THAT this Halloween. After all, we already have a groovy spider. I thought we could make a pumpkin pinata and put treats (and seed packets)_ for next year.

I am all for planting something different there, because i think the insect problem is because too much of the same thing for too many years. I can grow tomatoes at home. We made pickles, and the children's Mother who was a good sport would like NOT to do that again, so that is ok too. So back to trying to make zombies, and learning about zombies. I watched most of z nation on Netflix because my son said he would like to have a little Zombie. At least it is something different from planters and owls, i needed a change.

plants vs zombies are green, and i have photos taken from teh phone with instructions from a 6 year old Aiden on how exactly to do it. In the meantime, a little zombie practice with what i do have, just to get into the spirit of things.

yellow mum at the base getting ready to open, surrounded by yellow four oclocks, an accident that i am happy about. Megenta four oclocks on the outside of that. Should be very pretty. Pike the way the sun spot lights this area.

Hoping my tomato fence holds, I had no idea they were going to get THIS big. Tomatoes for 3 neighbors single and family, weekly, steady for my Mom, and son's family, have taken to the guild, many times, the hard ware store, the bank ladytoday who said they were super good, Hyia has taken some to Church, and to school. So I can't complain about my driftwood frame even if it fell over but so far, fingers crossed it is holding strong. ONe piece broke at the Lm garden, but it really didn't make that much difference. I tied a piece in, and used a rock to prop.

Planting Baylee's Carrot Patch with Hyia's help. Baylee held up a carrot seed to her Daddy after he read the packet seed to her. She said :there's a WHOLE CARROT in there". That is how i feel, it is just a miracle every time.

newest drift wood addition thanks to help from my Daughter and family. It was too big to carry down the bank, over the rocks, so i thought i wonder what would happen if it were pushed into the water, would it drift to the dock? That answer was YES! More put in a new railing for the arkansas traveler which i more than love. Finally the tomato sunflower combo is still holding and worked so well. IT was just an after thought with an extra tomato plant i didnt' have anywhere else to plant. So i wondered if this would work and that answer is YES too.

I learned something about the queen in the garden. WHen repairing the center zig zag of your web you must knit one, and pearl two.

I have learned a lot about the queen and will be very careful taking down the tomato plants to find and protect her golden egg sac.

and I now have four of these, safe and sound.

My monarch chrysalis ..plural of that i do not know, went over the the grandchildren 's house. One was able to come out, step up on the preschooler's hand and fly away. Her Mama said she did a really good job holding still and being careful. Now i have learned the rest are on their way to my grandson's school so he and his class can release the one that is working on it now. I couldn't be more pleased.

I cut off the new vine, and the blooms that are not going to have time to do anything. I picked the biggest ones hoping it is not a mistake, in hopes that it will hurry up with the smaller ones. THere are i think 28. Aiden's spiderman plant will give him a present for his teacher and lots of people. He wants to make bird houses and that is a o k with me.

No way to get the whole plant in one pic.

I would like to be this moth, for just one minute, that rose smells so good.
