Aidens' sunflower. I wish it would have been a better year for them since he was suppose to have a forest of giants, they didn't grow much taller than he is and the flowers are wimpy. It was so cool and so wet for weeks and weeks. That has to be why.

Someone came through and sprayed the wrong address with herbicide. I cannot find out who did this. They killed my lettuce, mint, a tomato and more flowers than i can list. All we had was clover and such, so now i have oasis in a land of clay brick. Bob the snake left and I haven't seen a skink for a week. It smelled so bad, I thought the neighbors had sprayed there yard, but no.. I was barefoot on that too and i didn't' feel good for days. I am super sensitive to cides of any kind. .

really happy with my stick fence for the tomatoes. Chocolate cherry, yellow pepper tomato German pink, and another i don't remember which.

and a good morning from LIttle Mexico. Sounds just like a bee hive which i love. Only a couple pests, and i squashed em. I am trying to take a pic from essentially the same spot every day so i can make the grandchildren a flip book. If it works.

Garden musings from the last couple days.

Black bee bumble bee honey bee blue..green bee tiny bee yes I mean you. In my garden every where it sounds just like a hive. When we eat we will praise your work to heaven and beyond. Black bee bumble bee honey bee blue, green bee tiny bee yes I mean you.

Spiders spiders everywhere, making tiny webs, garden spiders, tunnel spiders, hatching and the rest. Protect my plants and grow up strong so you can do your best. In my heart you'll always be a friend and not a pest.

A black ant bit my leg today, it wasn't' very nice. I must have tasted bad to ant, he didn't bite me twice.

and a story.
Ah well, i almost feel bad now. I found a spactacular horn worm on my tomato plant at Little Mexico. When i find them at home I always take them to the bird feeder, because once a blue jay said SPAAALUNKA with joy when he found it. So into a cup it went, into my basket of cucumbers and tomatoes and to the feeder at home we went. When i got there however, I found that a racoon had pulled my feeder up into the tree and it was going to take a process to get it down, so i took said worm into the house where I promptly forgot all about him, while figuring out how to get the feeder down. Forgot all about him until this evening when i looked down under my desk and saw his 3 inch self stretched out on my computer wires. Ooopsie. So I took him out and put him on the feeder, thinking sorry fat worm, but your a fine dinner.
I came in and sat at my desk to look out the window. That was when a Daddy Cardinal knocked the worm down, and went after it with gusto. He bit it, again, and again and i am sure the worm hurt, and i thought oh no. HE's too big for the cardinal. In fact the cardinal had to stop and eat a few seeds while he studied the sorry worm, that was not dead. But after he shelled a few more seeds he gave that worm one last hard bite, and off he went into the air, worm in beak. Sorry worm, but i am happy for whatever babies will get that cow of a dinner. I have learned a lot about birds and worms this growing season, and what i have learned most, is i am really really glad i am not a worm.

See the rainbow, taste the rainbow.

I do like how the groundhogs are neatly keeping my four leaf clover plants so nicely trimmed, and leaving everything else alone. Munch away, i hope they bring you luck, and i am glad we have met on a compromise, even if you did prefer my red lettuce, it's gone now. obviously it was very yummy.

Here comes the sun my utmost favorite place on the planet right now, to see the sun rise.

and there it is

so good day to LM and back to the home garden where I am most pleased with my tomato fence

kind of hard to get a really good pic of it, but it is nice and neat, and not the least bit sprawled out. My Friend Cindy gave me a Gloriouso (sp?) Lily that just came up so super excited about that. I put it where the other lily was since it seemed to like it there.

a good morning to my deer
I hope the pink phlox can spread behind her next year, the primrose just didn't' get enough sun there to pull it off.

so now I wait for tomorrow morning where i can be happy about the progress all over again. <3 The season is going so fast, and I know winter is so long, so i am trying to soak it all up in my mind. I have my wish list started for next spring, If i am still here and the heavens are willing.

They are pickles now thanks to the Mama. She wrote in a message she was up to 7 jars so far. So we did it! We planned on pickles and we have pickles for the most pickle loving children i have ever met.

I am so proud of all of us. We have baby melons too that are just too cute, and growing fast.

I love my garden, I just want to stand there and watch it grow. I hunt a lot of bugs, organic takes some discipline, but i am out while they are still cold and still early in the morning, and so far, so good.

spider warning...Even if you don't love them, this is one to at least thank for all the service. She is glorious, and i am so glad she chose my plot. Hyia scared her today, moving too fast, weariang a bright color t shirt and oh how she tried to run and hide, but was too fat. It didn't take her long tho to return to the center of her universe. I think she has grown up mostly on cucumber bugs.

She use to bounce her web when she saw me, but she doesn't anymore. She has never run from me. Hyia was so sorry! Her shirt was very pink.

She tried to fit in there but it doens't work for her anymore. Every day i go hoping she will still be there and i can't wait to see her egg ball.
