    Chow Chows

My parents took in a stray Chow Chow my first year in college. I had come home for Christmas vacation to find this strange dog in the house and was not friendly with him - he got even, one night he took a dump in my bed. Regardless, months and years later, my brother and I would...

    Butt Dragging in Silky Terrier

My dog used to do the "butt-scoot-boogie" all the time. She really had a bad problem with her anal glands clogging up, to which for the first 1.5 years the glands had to be expressed every eight weeks or so. I suspect it was due to her Alpo canned food diet. The vet had told me certain dogs...

    Hi everyone, i'm new here!

Freddie seems to be a little put-out. He is probably saying to himself with some sarcasm, "O'boy. I'm glad you were able to take that photo so you can share it with every woman who comes over here. There goes my reputation." :D Seriously, cute looking dog.

    Safest way to wash dog?

Safest way to wash dog? Wash the dog while wearing a swimsuit; the dog is not the only one going to get wet. :D I wash my puppy with regular dog shampoo mixed with some type of flea shampoo made of orange extract.

    I tasted the treat

LOL! That big sneaky girl! I will get on the floor and start to wrastle (correctly spelled wrestle in other parts of America) with Molly and start to blow on her ears and muzzle. It gets her in a mock fighting mode that is really playful, but if I am not careful she will sneak in a tongue...

    What green vegetables for puppy?

I purchase a bag of stir-fry for my dog, and place a serving in with her raw meal. The bag of stir-fry has carrots, broccoli, water chestnuts, green beans, peas, baby corn, red bell peppers, and may be another item or two. I had tried to feed her vegetables in their "big" size and she would...

    Food allergies question

Thank you for the responses. I have looked through the internet looking for articles associated with pancreatitis, and the symptoms are very similar to what Molly was suffering through. She also needs to lose some of that extra weight she is carrying around. I am at a loss though why...

    Foods containing euthanasia drug

There is a book called "Fast Food Nation" that discuss this topic briefly - especially how the cycle between the various food sources are being fed to each other: pets, cattle, horses, and swine.

    Food allergies question

I had placed this thread in the Health Care Forum where Renee had said I should copy my thread into this forum to get more responses to my inquiries. ^^^^^^^^^ Howdy, I have a question if anyone either has a dog or had a dog that was allergic to a certain type of food? If so, what were...

    Howdy

I am the proud papa of a cocker spaniel mix by the name of Molly. I had gotten her from the local pound when she was eight weeks old, and she has ruled the house since then for the last eight years. She is a blessing in my life.

    Question about food allergies ...

Howdy, I have a question if anyone either has a dog or had a dog that was allergic to a certain type of food? If so, what were the symptoms for the dog? I have an eight year old cocker mix who has been the perfect angel when it comes to not be going to the bathroom in the house. However...
