Hey there!

I've always loved dogs, but couldn't have one in my childhood. Growing up, I tried to pet every dog I met and was so happy whenever we had to take care of other people's dogs or when they came to visit us!
When I was an adult, I started watching videos of dog tricks and tipps on training dogs, I bought books and audiobooks about raising dogs, their behavior, general knowledge, etc. I still tear up when I watch incredible dog performances.
Then, two years ago, when I was at a lowpoint in my life (mental health wise), I made the decision that I couldn't go on without a dog in my life. I found my souldog Pixel kind of by coincidence, but I fell in love with him as he immediately climbed onto my lap and fell asleep there when i first met him. Ever since he has made my life brighter and is teaching me in the art of happiness as only a dog can. He may not be perfect, but he is perfect in my eyes.
I don't recommend getting a dog when you don't have your life sorted out, it's a decision I'm not proud of. But I would be lying if I said I regret it. I can't imagine life without my best friend.
