    Vibrating Collar

Has anyone used them? Do they work? It is vibration only, no shock.

    Electric collar.......is it cruel?

Ive also seen 'vibrating' collars for sale. I am guessing that it is a similar 'idea' however it vibrates the collar (i am guess to get their attention) as opposed to 'shocking' them. Has anyone heard of these? Are they useful?

    Electric collar.......is it cruel?

I have two dogs and even after obedience school I have trouble getting my dogs to obey some basic commands, especially come. This is a big issue as if they get out of the fenced area, it is nearly impossible to retrieve them. I am afraid of them being hit by a car and hurting themselves...

    Where should she sleep?

Please dont get me wrong, I absolutely love my dog and I spend every minute I am home with her. However, I dont think there is anything wrong with having a space that is just mine and my husband's, where she is not allowed to sleep. We let her watch TV in there with us and such, I just dont...

    Where should she sleep?

Ok, my puppy is 6 months old. She was doing really good sleeping in her crate until last weekend we went away and my in-laws kept her. When we got home she was sick and my DH babied her and let her sleep in our bed all week. Obviously, now that I put her back in her Crate, she doesnt want to...

My Brother's 4 Y/o Lab Is Ruined Because He Tried The Electric Fence. Now The Dog Is Petrified Of Everything, Afraid He Will Get Shocked. I Wouldnt Use One If You Can Avoid It.

    Travelling with Pup

So we are back from Vaca...... Brinley did pretty great. She stayed in her Crate in the back seat..we let her out a twice times on the way up along the road but she wouldnt "go" and we stopped to feed her once and she "went" then. On the way back she slept the entire way. She had A LOT of...

Help with new puppy, toileting etc.

I read somewhere that bleach has a similar scent to them as their urine and NOT to use it as they will target the same spot again. Go to your pet store and look for a cleaner made especially to get rid of urine scent and this may help!

    Can you overfeed a puppy?

I'd ask your vet's opinion. We followed the instructions on the bad and were feeding Brinley 1 - 1 1/2 cups between 4 feedings. When we saw the vet we asked him (cause she was getting a belly). He told us we should only be feeding her 1/2 cup between 2 feedings. No wonder she was getting...

    Travelling with Pup

I'm sorry, my mistake.....she is 14 weeks......oops! And she is house trained....she goes to the door every time she needs to go the bethroom. Very infrequently does she make a mistake. However, I am not sure if she will be confused because it is a different house. As far as the waking up at...
