The rolled up magazine is a very bad idea. I know someone who used to hit his dog with a rolled up newspaper. It didn't take the dog very long to associate newspapers with bad things, so now whenever a newspaper falls on the doormat the dog grabs it and tears it into a million pieces. Paula

wow, the Golden only had 5, its the mutt that had 13. 11 where born and a few days later mommy was doing really bad so we took her to the vet, who found out 2 more where stuck inside. We allmost lost here there, it was a really close call.

Yes its probably overkill, but I don't think its dangerous at all. Vitamins don't do any harm, if getting too much of them, the body simply will not absorb them. Paula

I'm sure intelligence is partly geneticly determined and I would say that if your statement on how its passed on humans is true, the same probably applies to dogs, since we're both mamals I would guess most genetic information is stored in the same chromosomes for both. But hey I'm no genetics...

I know, and I don't now that I know about her condition with potatos. She does get table scaps and thats how we found out about the potatos.

Our dog can not eat potatos, whenever she does she will have a bad itch in the lower back the next day, so bad that she keeps biting it to try to get rid of the itching. Sure the simple sollution is to not feed her any potatos, but I was just wondering whats causing this. Thanks! Paula

It was NOT my decision to have pups, it just happend oke. And I know a lot of dogs get abused and all, but how do they end up in these homes? Is it not the people abusing the animals who decide to have a pet? If mr.Lunatic wants a dog he can get a dog, theres nothing any of us can do about...
