You can check rescues online too, not just shelters. :D There are loooads of Poodles in rescue.

I don't follow Dave Wilson closely enough, but what I read, I just had never seen that. It upsets me too much to know that he runs such a money grubbing club for people who are just as hungry for profit as him.

I believe the fur on the dog is not the problem, it is there dander which most people are allergic to. Everything has skin, therefor, you know. Every dog gets dead hairs, there's a reason we groom other than to just look nice. :)

I never said I agreed with their breeding, and I understand the Razor's Edge line just as well. However, I do know that not all stocky dogs from this breed are absolutely mixed with something else. As far as using the English Bulldog in the breeding, maybe I missed something said earlier, but...

As long as the dog is not in any discomfort, I see nothing wrong with a wide collar. People dress dogs up in very whacky things, dye their fur, cut their body parts off, for the sake of fashion, so, I don't see much wrong with a collar. Mine are comfy in theirs. :)

I don't use any drops for my Pugs' eyes, but they do get some mondo eye bogies sometimes. My Staffies get them too though. Mostly, I have to watch to make sure the Pugs do not run up onto twigs that could poke their eyes, and my cats wear softpaws to that they do not scratch their eyes. :)

I can't single out by temperament, because no breed is fully bad by nature. However, health problems...there are a good basketful of breeds that I will never own, simply due to their health issues.

Just because they are stocky dogs does not mean they are mixes. Provided, many of those large dogs you see are, they aren't all mixed with something else.

I use wider collars, and prong collars along with it.
