You can be glad you don't live in South Africa, here it happens without you moving. We get electricity accounts for over R30000 (R600 is normal) sometimes. The problem is you have to pay it before they will look at the problem. They read the meters wrong all the time and we have to pay for it...

Thank goodness I am allowed to visit them. I can even take them new toys and bedding. I will never survive not seeing them for so long. I know the dogs are cared for by the same person every day. If I remember correctly it is five dogs per caretaker.

Unfortunately the problem is on the Australian side. They don't have a rabies problem at all and we do so they are extremely strict on these rules. No budging them.

There are only two kennels doing this in SA. I've seen both and wouldn't even consider the first. It was terrible and I left in tears. The second was great. The kennels are clean and big. The dogs also have a square to exercise in. This is a lawned area with lots of trees and a small sand area...
