Instead of just pinching and tenting the skin with two fingers, try using three to make more of a triangle shape instead of just plain folding. That helped me find a little room when my little dog needed injections, since he has super thin skin and was very underweight after his GME.
I've tried just about everything out there, grain free and not. I will say he did well on the PureVita Bison until he stopped eating it. I think the trick for right now is mixing the kibble with warm water and a can of food- it really stimulates his appetite and the kibble I chose is 600...
Owner Speaking!
Hi all, it's me! The vet says he's underweight, but not enough to put him on appetite stimulants, and he suggested adding canned pro plan in addition. He's a show dog, so he needs to be in flesh, but Danes show with 2 ribs or so, not most of them! The pro plan has put some...
Hello! I am interested in adding a French Bulldog to my family. I've started on the parent club website, but is there an equivalent website to www.danesonline.com where mostly responsible breeders advertise available dogs? I'd prefer a retired show or broodbitch,or an older puppy, though Id happy...

He comes from a line with high metabolisms, and is in the middle of the major growth spurt. Like a teenage boy, eats me out of house and home!!!
Thanks, guys! Can't recommend Kady enough for anyone in the area- He wasn't being the most cooperative about standing still, and she still managed to get such pretty pictures of him!
Thank you, guys! I'm going into (laproscopic) surgery Monday, but hopefully I'll be up to taking him to a UKC show next weekend. It's crazy how he's growing! Glad y'all picked up on how much he looks the part of a big grown up dog but, well, still likes to grab my balls of yarn and frolic around...
Continued
(I think this is one of my favorites)
(And that one)
(And one of his namesake, Marlin! His lines are famous for being sound, athletic dogs, and the "Chroma Leap" is well known in the dane world. Was glad to get it on camera!)
Goofball
(More frolicking)
He's about...
After hitting the ground running in his show career and winning a 5 point specialty major his first time out, I decided a photo shoot was in order to do an ad for him in the Great Dane Review. Wanted to share some of the beautiful shots she took of him. Can not recommend her enough-...
Yeahhhhh.... I think I might go frenchie. Been a couple years of lusting after the creams and the more I look around the more I like them. Apologies for not being a very good listener to input. The gal I talked to a few years ago has a litter coming up this fall too...
Hate to disappoint, AdrianneIsabel, but Borders don't really do it for me looks wise. I'll go hang out around the ring next time and see if maybe in person they get to me though? I've actually known several Havanese and while this may have been a reflection of their owners, "aloof" was...
Thank you! I did email a Frenchie breeder in the area to see if she would be attending the upcoming show around here, so we will see how that goes. I appreciate your input :)
I keep coming back to the Cotons and the Frenchies, but have seen the Dandie Dianmont Terrier also, who is adorable. Any thoughts on these, personality wise?
Hi all! I have a Harlequin Great Dane pup, my second, and I LOVE him to pieces. I show him, and he's just a wonderful wonderful dog. I lost my little dog about a year and a half ago, a "maltese" who was given to me when I was in the fifth grade. While I couldn't see myself owning another...
I've used it for an autoimmune condition and found it to be really well tolerated. I absolutely would have more reservation about prednisone than the atopica regarding quality of life for the dog, the atopica just seems scarier because it's expensive and uncommon!
