    eliminating peeing odour

We have found the best thing to use is biological washing powder. It neutralises the smell, even the smell only the dogs can smell. Might be worth a try. Lynn

? How to get your pup to take treats nicely...

Hi I don't know if it's any help but one of my boys used to snatch. I used the same way you would teach a puppy not to mouth you. When he snatched I shouted OUCH really loud so that he would know he had hurt me (even if he hadn't). this seemed to work really well and quite quickly. Might be...

Tyson just had his 1st seziure

Fennash One of my boys had a fit about 3 weeks ago. He had never had one before and I agree it is REALLY scary. He is a year old collie/GSD X who is deaf. He was fast asleep with his head on my lap when suddenly he lifted his head started drooling and went into a fit. He was flat on his side...

    dog name

I thought a GREAT name for a dog with wrinkles would be Bowtox. Not sure if i'd want to stand in the park calling that out though. I might get mugged by little old ladies wanting to get it done LOL Lynn

    My dog has gotten weird

Fennash My little collie Fenn does the same thing. He chases shadows, reflections even torch lights. He will spend hours looking for them, pouncing on them even trying to dig them up on my kitchen floor. When he is doing this his tail is wagging non stop, so I guess he enjoyes it. I think it's...

    What's your favorite breed?

It HAS to be collies and collie mixes for me. I have a bc/lab x called Ash, a bc called Fenn and a deaf collie/GSD X called Soda. I love their energy, enthusiasum and love of learning. Lynn

    purebred blue german shepherd?

Fennash Hi, My brother has shepherds, he has 2 white ones (they look cream though) and a blue one. She is beautiful, the same sort of colour as a blue dane. She's is lovely dog with a typical shepard temprement. From what I can tell the are just normal shepards but a different colour. Good...

    Worst Dog names!

When I first got one of my rescue dogs he was called UK. I just couldn't imagine calling that across the field, so I changed it to Fenn. I know Fenne quite a common girl collie name but I liked it so I just spelt it different. He seems to like it anyway. Lynn

    Dog hair / carpet

If you are looking for a new vaccum I would recomend the Dyson Animal (the purple one). It's great, one of the best things my OH has bought me (so far). The only thing wrong with it is the amount of hair it picks up each time is a bit of a shock, made me realize how hairy my house must have been...

    Im at a Loss

Don't know if it's any help but I had a similar problem with one of my boys but he was attacking my son's bike wheels. I tried all the usual stuff, teaching him leave, telling him no even keeping him on a lead but nothing did the trick. Eventually I tried a water pistol. I didn't say anything to...

Its getting to be that time

It would be GREAT if all breeders were as careful and responsible. There would be a lot less sad stories to tell if they were. Can't wait to see pics of the pups Lynn

    Can dogs have gastrist?

I agree, please see the vet. One of my lot suffers from a funny tummy and I use Bio yoghurt the one with the live enzymes in it. It really seems to help. Good luck, and I hope he gets better soon. Lynn

    Your family....and your pets....

I'm quite lucky with my family. My Mum and Dad are dog mad too. Dad's a trainer and behaviourist, which can be quite handy. my kids think I'm nuts but love me anyway and I did quite well with the man in my life. He liked dogs before, he was brought up by a mum who bred and showed boxers but he'd...

    Any suggestions??

Hi, thanks for your reply. The skin feels normal, it isn't red or sore, his eye isn't watering or weeping at all, it's just got this bold patch around it. I did wonder about some sort of mange, there are a lot of foxes where we walk but I assume it wouldn't just be this on patch. Lynn
