Are your dogs okay in all weather? We've obviously never experienced snow.. but rain or shine Buddy and Banzai still want to play.. Bella can't stand the rain, doesn't like water and is a big whiny butt about it. She's actually really funny.

What about your dogs?

The BCs hate the heat. Absolutely hate it.

They all prefer not to be rained or hailed on, but otherwise yup, I do. Dakota in particular LOVES snow. Dunno about the girls or Zap as they've never seen it.

Are you kidding? HA! Zeus and Voodoo don't do rain. Voodoo gives you miserable looks, but he'll endure it. But Zeus is a big baby about it. One time, my sis was walking him and got caught in a light drizzle about 1/2-mile from our house. Zeus sat down, refused to move, and started crying and whining like he was going to die. My Hubby had to go pick them up in the car.

Yeah, my dogs don't really do rain. Conrad will at least run out and pee when it's raining but Marlowe won't even do that. He'll stand by the door under the awning.

The snow Conrad absolutely loves, it actually kind of makes him a little crazy-pants. Marlowe doesn't mind snow but he gets chilly and starts to shiver and give me pathetic looks after too long.

Marlowe is fairly impervious to heat (light coat) but Conrad wilts pretty quickly (heavy coat, big dog).

Yup. he lvoes rain, slow, blizzerds, hail ect. The heat does slow him down, but we tend to walk where the is a creek for swimming/drinking so he manges fine with it all. he is a 4 seasons dog, and needs to be any way as we are 4 seasons herelol

hellllll no. For a dog that loves water so much he hates the rain. tries to pee on the stoop if it's raining. i tell him "GO PEE" and gives me this look like "uh, do i have to?".

Same with snow. He despises it for the powdery part but when it turns to freezy slush he stands there and barks at it

Yep. Sometimes he decides he doesn't want to be out in the rain, but for the most part he's a happy camper. ALL kinds of weather, though since he's black, eat and sunlight don't really agree with him. Recently he spent 6 hours out on the back porch and the yard in a windstorm because he was enjoying the wind and occasional patters of rain so much... he didn't want to come in. When it started getting dark I dragged him inside against his will, but he had his nose glued to the window until I closed the curtains.

Freak.

*sigh* yes... Dobermans and the cold do NOT mix.

Ada, however, is about as all-weather as you get - she's tough as nails when it comes to the weather!

Besides snow, since we don't get any, Dixie could care less. She whines to go out when it's pouring down rain so she can splash in the puddles. When it's raining, Bear would rather go out, do his thing and come right back in. He doesn't mind the weather if he has to pee, but won't stay out any longer than he has too. I haven't found anything yet that phases Dixie.

Spanky and Bandit go out regardless of the weather. Blizzards don't stop them nor does the heat though I will if the weather is dangerously crazy. It's fun to have dogs like that.

Miley can't handle the cold. She tries to but she can't. She wants to coem out on the walks so bad but half the time she gets left behind. Poor little tyke.

Does that look like an all-weather dog to you?

Meg wants to start an exchange program with RDs border collies. When it's too hot for them in AZ, they can come live in Vermont. And when it's too cold for Meg in Vermont, she's moving in with them. Which means probably 50 weeks out of the year.

Gempress I love that story about Zeus, poor baby.

Zoey is a fiend for heat. 100+ degrees and she's laying out in the sun. I have to force her inside so she wont cook. The other dogs tolerate it.

Copper and Tara love snow and are ok in the rain. Once it drops below 60 you'll never see Zoey outside. And Jewels dislikes water

Mushroom is made of sugar and will melt in rain. He's pretty sure. He also doesn't like snow to touch his delicate footsies.

Harv doesn't really care.

Luce likes snow, but not rain. She gets cold easily, so she has to wear a coat, but she loves to run in the snow, eat the snow, catch snow balls, etc.

It's really not the weather here ...it's the mood .....Ollie never barks to go out .... just a paw at the door . I'll open the door and he'll check out the weather . Snow and cold ... no problem ...if it's raining , he'll shake like he's wet and goes back to bed .

Oh my, Joey is the biggest wuss when it comes to weather. Granted, he's got a pretty good excuse in the cold. That huge scar on his back probably gets pretty chilly. He's also pretty pitiful in the rain.

Roxie is pretty good in all weather, except when it's very hot and sunny. She pants more than Joey on hot sunny days. Maybe its her coat color.
