Matisse… Just Back from a PhotoShoot… *MEGA PICTURE OVERLOAD*

I’m in the mood for sharing some pictures I’ve taken of Matisse today and yesterday, just to show you how much he’s changed in only a month or 2! As you can see he’s all fur, such a scruffy pup! :D

Oh and yes, I’ve went well overboard!

Here’s some pics I took around Christmas 1st, he’s 5 months old here.

Christmas is over, I’m bored….

SNOW! Over here it’s a big deal! Haha!

Snowz on me noze

Err… what was that you said about yellow snow?

Cleo clearly enjoys the snow too…

Cute pic, if it wasn’t for the unattractiveness of the wheelie bin, toppled chair and dead plants in the background…

a Mutt! to put it simply... :p

I got him from a shelter when he was7 weeks old, his Mum was a 'small collie' they told me, but sometimes the people there aren't great at labelling dogs... so she could've been a border collie/corgi/westie mix for all we know!

And the dad was a mystery, but Matisse definitely looks like he has some kind of terrier in him, he's just so scruffy! hehe :lol-sign:

But his siblings that i saw (there was 8 in the litter) looked more like Border Collie/JRT mixes!

So, it's a mystery! :)

Working sheepdogs in the UK (and the US too) sometimes produce throwbacks to their bearded counterparts (though most working beardies are unrecognizable as the huge, supercoated dogs people are used to seeing in the show ring. working beardies look a lot like Matisse - scruffy Border Collies. :))

There's a Beardie-looking dog that did very well in sheepdog trials here in the US, if I can find his picture I'll post it.

This, SharkBait, is the dog I was thinking of. James. He's not a true "bearded collie" like the show-type Beardies. Rather, he's about 7/8 border collie. Reminds me a lot of Matisse, though Matisse has a year or two to go before he gets a full coat like James.

FWIW - I didn't take that pretty photo, Christine Henry did.

Wow! He's a pretty cool looking dog
I can see why he reminded you of Matisse, i think they have a very similar face, and offcourse the shaggy look goin' on!
Do you really think Matisse's coat will eventually turn out like that?
if so, i'm gonna be busy! haha! looks like a lot of maintenance is needed! uh oh!

Oh yeah, I do think Matisse's coat is going to get a lot longer. :) He's what, 6 months old now? Most male dogs Matisse's size aren't physically mature (coat included, if they have much coat) until they're at around 18-24 months old.
