Auggie turns two and more! (PICS)

Okay, first... Auggie turned TWO YEARS OLD on Sunday!!! Or, as we say - he lived to be two! He didn't die!

I only got a few pics, because I gave the camera to my mom - big mistake. Everything came out blurry except for the photos of his "cake" I took before we gave it to him, LOL.


His "cake" was puppy brownies, but I couldn't get the candles in the brownie (they are hard and chewy) so I had to top it with peanut butter!

Also, on Friday, we had a great day... first, I had the day off from work because I had three papers to write. So Auggie and I got to spend a lot of time together (I was taking frequent breaks to play with my puppy. *bad*)
Later, my mom asked if I wanted to go to a local flea market. People bring their dogs to the flea market all the time, so I thought we'd take Auggie. We had a GREAT time - everybody loved him, everybody cooed and awwed and asked to pet him. He was VERY tired and fell fast asleep on the way home.
When we got home, he REEKED of smoke (so did I - down to my bra in fact.) so it was bathtime... but I had planned bathtime anyway, so it was no big deal...

After bathtime, we wrestle and play in the towels to dry him off... he has MAJOR dreadlock issues in this photo, LOL.

He REALLY likes wrestling in the towels... he looks vicious here. If you look close, you can see his stained fang - his breeder looked at it and said it wasn't plaque, but that his tooth was stained because he... get this... smiles too much. So it's exposed to air a lot and it got yellowed.


He looks like he's got buckteeth in all of these because of how riled up he was. This is his snarly face I guess. I've never seen him actually snarl at anybody so I guess this must be what it looks like, LOL.


D'awww. (The towel has a unicorn on it, but don't worry about it destroying his masculinity - the towel we used right after the bath has a big red hot rod on it.)


I don't know if you can tell from the photo as well... this is my favourite stage of drying him off. His head is dry, but his mane is still wet, so he looks like he's got some spikey punk rock hair going on. It's hilarious and I love it. (Again, this is his VICIOUS PUPPY face.)


Why did we have a bath scheduled for Friday, you ask? Because...
we had professional Christmas photos done. They are ALL so adorable... but sadly, I don't have them at this moment. I think the photographer might be uploading them to his website shortly, so I will be able to post the lower-res versions when he uploads them there. I ordered a CD with all the photos on it and they're hoping to have it to his breeder by Saturday so I can just pick it up from her.
But until then, I will leave you with this thought...
the photographer, who shoots animal portraits and agility events for a living and sees this stuff ALL THE TIME, declared one of Auggie's photos... "Cutest Santa Hat Picture Ever."

We paid $85 to benefit the vet school, and we'll get an 8x10, 2 5x7s, some wallets, and a CD. Overpriced, but I guess its for a good cause.
