Well, I've some to terms with the fact that I'm not going to be getting the $70, Celtic dog collar for Frodo anytime soon, but the collar that he's wearing now is ruining his coat around it. I think I'm going to get rolled leather collars for both the corgis...

If anybody knows of any reasonably priced, good quality leather collar suppliers I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know!

TIA:)

I find the ones in petstores over priced for what they are and how long they last . I've had my last one ( Chip's .. now Ollie's ) for so long I can't remember where I got it . Google oiled bridle leather rolled dog collars . I get the natural color as I don't like the painted ones . The natural leather last for years ! I clean with Murphy's oil and oil treat and set in the sun maybe once a year or so . I've got one that has to be 40 years old , but too big for anyone now .

I found Tango's in a small petstore. It's made by a brand called "Circle T" and it is really, really nice. I won't use it on another dog, but I bet if I did, it would last pretty much forever. I have a 16 year old leash of the same brand and it's still in great condition.

I dont' trust any of the collars available at PetcoPetsmart... I've got a stronger, better made, and cheaper option for you!

Try the J&J Dog rolled leather collars - www.jjdog.com - the are amazing, get buttery soft VERY Quickly, and are very well made. Ilsa's lasted for more than 2 years.. then she grew out of it. I still have it though, and it's in superb condition. I've been meaning to get a new one for some time now.

OH WOW!!!! Thanks for the link Sizzle!!! Not I knew exactly what I am buying with my christmas money, that is if my secret santa doesnt get them for me, I left them a hint in the wish-list thread :)

J&J's has a special right now where you buy a 6 foot leash and they send you a two footer for free!

I'm not sure if you frequent shows, but I picked up two rolled and one braided leather collars at a show for $15 total. :)
