My girl kitty, Shadow, has had really soft, sloopy poop for about a week now. Also, she had a few "accidents" outside the litterbox. (Pee accidents, not poop.) I took her to the vet and they felt her abdomen and said it felt very liquidy in there, but they couldn't find any obvious problems from the stool sample they took. I'm supposed to give her antibiotics for a week and see if that helps.

The weirdest thing is that her poop smells very odd, almost antiseptic smelling. What could this be from?

I would offer her a little yogurt or pumpkin, preferable pumpkin but many cats won't eat it. You can mix it into her wet food, just a teaspoon or so twice a day or so. It will add fiber and help firm up her poop. The yogurt is just goot because of all the live cultures. But try pumpkin first. I am talking about pure canned pumpkin, not the pie filling.

probably from the antibiotics....... it's quite common
It smelled weird before the antibiotics. (The antibiotics themselves smell like bubblegum, LOL!)

I'm not sure if I can convince her to eat pumpkin, but I'm sure yogurt won't be a problem. :p

That's odd.. mine don't mind pumpkin but when I put yogurt in their food chili left half and Tom only took a few bites before refusing it altogether. o_O

Back on topic: Are you sure Shadow didn't get into anything? I always wonder when I clean up icky stuff and I'm *sure* they hadn't gotten into something but then I find a half-eaten something or another behind a chair or under the couch. It might be worth it just to check your home out thoroughly.
