Dry Skin?

It might be allergies.

^^Heh, you know thats been said a million times...SOOO if it's allergies raw should help clear that up.

IF its food allergies then Raw might clear it up. If you feed her the right protein source. If it is environmental allergies, they won't clear up until whatever is causing it goes away, or she is treated for it.

Just to give an update, I took her to the vet and she's on meds and has a calming shampoo that she gets bathed in twise a week.

Though, the vet doesn't know whats causing her scratching whether it's food or allergies.

Any improvement?

She seemed to be improving till I washed her the second time in the camling shampoo. Now she's back to scratching constintly. =/ If she doesn't improve in a day or two I will be taking her back to the vet.

My dogs are pretty itchy lately too, but they always get like this near fall/winter just because the air is more dry than it is in the spring/summer. It doesn't matter what food they're on. Maybe it could be the same for Lizzie? I always just add extra oils to their diet this time of the year and it helps a lot. Just a thought, anyway. Hopefully she improves.

Well, she had (there not nearly as red or big) spots on her stomach/back leg area and the vet said it looked like the pattern for when they are allergic to fleas, but she hasn't had a single one and he looked her over too! So he wasn't sure.

I'm hoping it might just be the weather changing...it's getting a lot colder here.
