My friend crops his pit bulls ears, because the floppy ears make them look ''sissy''. But personally though I think they look better with the floppy ears, and they look like cats to me when they have their ears crop. Whats your opinion on cropped ears on a pit vs natural ears?

I would personally never crop my dogs ears. Sissy looking or not, they were born with them. There is no real reason to crop them anymore other than to make them look meaner.

I strongly prefer the look of natural ears on APBTs. Ears give them so much more personality.

i much prefer the natural look.

the only breed in which i prefer the cropped look is dobes (and maybe briards. i'm on the fence there). but i would never ever crop a dog, as i don't believe in it.

I definitely prefer natural ears, especially on APBTs.

I'm a fan of natural ears.
I never understood cropped ears on pit bulls, not that I'm against them, but you can read a LOT of a pit bulls emotions in his/her ears.
With pit bulls, if the owner crops the ears, they have to be careful to find a vet that does them REAL GOOD, or else the crop job can look REALLY bad.

I prefer the natural look on APBTs.. I think they are far too blocky (generally) to really pull the look off. (No offense to APBT owners!) Give me a Doberman with a show crop any day. :)

I don't mind cropping in a breed like dobies where they're being shown and the cropping has or once has served a purpose.

Cropping an APBT ears is dumb, especially if it's not being shown or working.

I think pits look best natural though I have seen some stunning Am Staffs with nice crop jobs. It's a breed I could take either way. If I had one, it'd most likely be natural.

My opinion on this is that I am scared that someone needs to crop a dog ear's for the reason that natural ears look "sissy". Especially with a bully breed.

I like the natural look on ALL breeds, the only crops I like I've seen on here are Ilsa and Ronin's crops and the WW2 Dobe crops.
I would never crop my dogs ears

i really appreciate that more and more people are taking natural-eared pit bulls into the show ring. kudos to them for bucking the trend.

I really only kind of like crops on Dobies and Briards and even then there are a lot of dogs natrual looks good on. Even then I like natural ears best.

Pit bulls, I think, look bad 98% of the time with crops. They just don't have the right build to pull it off.
