like all the daily junk is just SOOOOO far from what is REALLY important?

*sigh*

I came home early to escape :(

Today is just one of those days where all I can think about is "How did my life turn into working for money to buy stuff?"

Sometimes it just seems like one big nasty circle.........and it all seems so futile :(

Ok, whining is over

I've been feeling like that lately. Is there a point to all this ? I don't know , I just feel like my long term goals aren't ever going to be met at this pace. On the flip side I am absolutely ecstatic about fall. I love this time of year.:)

I love this time of year too Fruity..........I don't know what my problem is today, LOL Maybe it's hormones or something.

I am normally pretty happy, I have a GREAT husband, healthy/happy children (most of the time) 2 great dogs, a home that is getting close to being done, our bills are paid with extra to spare, I could go on and on counting my blessings...........I just got a case of the blahs I think :(

I always get that feeling in the winter when things are all boring and dreary. I think - there HAS to be more to life than going to work, coming home, watching TV, going to bed, going to work, coming home, watching TV, going to bed, going to work,...............

And yet dogs do the same things every day right on schedule and seem joyous and content...we can learn something there I am sure!
Well honestly hounded, if I could hump wherever I wanted, poop on any lawn or sidewalk and have SOMEONE else clean it up, and have someone put food and drink in my bowl..........I doubt a schedule would get on my nerves all that much either! :D

Funnily enough, I just read this....

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are
more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the
loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of
starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,
torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in
the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof
overhead and a place to sleep... you are richer than 75% of this world!

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are
very rare, even in the United States and Canada.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in
that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed
than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Someone once said:
What goes around comes around. Work like you don't need the money. Love
like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching. Sing like
nobody's listening. Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

I like that. I always try to keep things like that in mind when I start to bitch about what I don't have. I know I'm fortunate. I wish I was making better progress sometimes though.:)

Nope . . . didn't mean you were checking out, Coop. Just that you're right. There IS more to life than chasing money and things and what we're supposed to want and do. And that you can move past all that nonsense . . . just watch me.

I have an assignment for you, Coop: Get a copy of Pure Heart, Enlightened Mind by Maura Soshin O'Halloran. And read it. :)

She died in a bus wreck. She was a passenger on the bus. She is now considered to be a Buddhist saint. But her journal is just . . . well, you just have to read it. Nothing dramatic or cataclysmic, but it just IS.
