Alice's temp is down today and appears to be staying down...:yikes: Due to her progesterone, we are still going to wait another day or two on the section unless nature doesn't allow...:yikes: Her vet is ready and waiting and just a call away, but I am one nervous Grandma!!! :D

Grammy, a c-section can be done prior to labor or during labor/contractions. If she were to start labor, I would call my vet and rush in.

The plan is progesterone testing which we have been doing since Saturday. Alice is in the 2 1/2 to 5 range. She needs to drop below 2 in order to do the section unless labor starts before that. If we go in tomorrow and the progesterone has dropped then she gets a steroid injection and plan for a section on Tuesday. If labor starts at anytime then I rush in for the section ASAP.

At this point she's not restless and still has a hefty appetite. She seems more uncomfortable from bulk alone, but I don't sense any labor, yet.

Oh, and for the record - I haven't been sleeping at all the last two nights as I have moved to the guest room to sleep with Alice. Every move she makes I am like this....:yikes:

LOL!

Thanks for the info ..........being a past breeder I sure feel for you !!!! Before I knew about the temp thing , I sure didn't get much sleep either !! Then after I knew , it was almost worse !! I was keeping a female once for her whelp . I didn't know her very well so didn't know any signals with her . I let her out, then couldn't find her !!! Bubba lead me out to the patio and cocked his head , Sure enough there were puppy squeals under the deck ! It was pouring out , and tight quarters but I managed to crawl under and get the pup .... Mom followed me out and soon she was comfy and dry back in the whelping pen . All was well with the rest of the pups and the 1st was fine .....though whelped on dirt and scaring the pants off of me ! Why in heck she did that when she had been happy in the pen was beside me !

Grammy, your story isn't all that uncommon, actually! My vet is a repro vet only and she told me that she has had countless numbers of clients who let their bitches out close to delivery and couldn't get them back because they dug a den under the house and refused to come out!:yikes: I am on strict orders to monitor Alice at all times, LOL!

The puglets are coming. The puglets are coming. I am so looking forward to pictures. I have never seen a tiny puglet, and can only imagine their cuteness.

Thanks everyone!

I am very excited and I appreciate your excitement along with me.

Tiny pug babies are adorable and born very dark (almost black) and then they lighten to a fawn as they mature. So cute!

No labor yet and I'll keep you all posted...:yikes:
