Tango woke up this morning and can't move/has no control of her entire back end at all. She just lays down crying, howling, shaking, and panting. We'll be going to the vet's in about an hour (when they open). I'd appreciate it if you could all keep my girl in your thoughts in the mean time though. The same thing happened to her brother (Winter) last November, and he ultimately had to be PTS. :(

The vet said it was just bad genetics/bad breeding. He (Winter) hadn't done anything to cause what happened to him, and Tango hasn't done anything either that should cause this.

I can only hope that she's treatable. She means the world to me.

Well, are you suggesting that she just leave the dog in pain?

Thinking of poor Tango and you! I will keep my fingers crossed for a good outcome!

WTF? Toller said "I can only hope that she's treatable. She means the world to me." So I asked what the vet is doing. How does that mean I hope the dog is left in pain!!? I too expressed my hope that it is treatable.

We don't need to snipe at each other for each other's posts right now. She is not asking us for advice. I didn't see a single problem with Dekka's post, and even if I misread it, this is not the place to be fighting over posts. It's a time of love and support, not parsing. Right now this girl needs our support BIG TIME. Nobody needs our opinions, Toller has a vet for that.

Devan, I am sending all my best thoughts and wishes your way, hon. I know you must be so worried and scared. I hope it is treatable and please know we are here for you. Please post what's going on as soon as you get a better understanding at the vet's office, ok?

NOOOOO! not Tango baby girl!

that sounds pretty bad, but hopefully it will be treatable. Stay strong and you know you've got the best wishes of Chaz.
