I just don't understand!

It says sigs can only be 500x 100 but I see HUGE sigs on here! I try to put a simple little pic on and I get a 'invalid file'..... what has to be 500x100 and how do you get those big (and sometimes animated) pix at the bottom of msgs????

The pics at the bottom are signatures. I think you have to use a .jpg or .gif file for them. I think it is only avatars that have to be small.

My suspicion is that the HUGE sigs here are done thru using links NOT uploading thru your puter hard drive. If it's simply a link to some other place the pic is kept...then it doesn't count against the entire limit of the sig.

This is at the bottom of the sig pic upload box so yes, there is a limit...
"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

I used Photobucket to try and upload my pic to my sig and I still got the 'invalid file'..... so, no, I didn't try to upload from my computer. I see all kinds of sigs that are beautiful and very large and you know they have to be more than 100x500, just wondering how they do that.... still don't understand... I don't think I am that computer illiterate....

If you already have the picture in photobucket, just copy the link that says IMG Code into your signature.

500x100 is actually pretty big. The ones you're seeing might be smaller than that

100 is the problem GTS, if you actually follow that rule, it looks like a pancake!

It probably says invalid because the filetype isn't .jpg or .gif.

I am guessing the rule is just there to be there or something. Avatars have to be 100x100. This picture is exactly 500x100 as the rule states.

If neither photobucket or chaz will load your file then I think this ^ is probably your problem.
